Step by Step - How I'm Making Millions with Crypto-Currencies

As wonderful as it would be, I don't think any of us are going to wake up tomorrow to find we're suddenly wealthy beyond our wildest dreams.  I hope it happens to some of us, but I'm not going to sit around waiting for it.

For me, the path to making millions and billions of dollars with Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies is gonna take a while.  Like a whole good long while.  So this page will chronicle the journey and provide info on what I'm doing and how well it's working.  Hopefully this will help me keep focused on making steps forward while helping others learn and grow along the way.

Here's what I'm starting out with...
  • $20 Toshiba laptop from the thrift store sold "as-is" (was working, currently dead...)
  • Two Gridseed 5-Chip Orbs -- First generation ASIC scrypt miners that hash around 330 KH/s each (Currently making a couple pennies a day mining Litecoin)
  • A couple of old GPUs but I think one is dead and don't know if I can get the other one going
  • Some time, computer skills, and enough knowledge of crypto-currencies to be moderately dangerous
The laptop was working, spent some time on life-support, then died a gruesome death.  It is currently waiting to see if I can resuscitate it.  I put the odds at 50/50.
The gridseed orbs are mining away making just slightly more than nothing.  Energy consumption is minimal but even so, they would not be profitable if my electricity was not included with rent.
I currently have little hope for the GPUs but need to make time to troubleshoot them.

Over the past few weeks I've been making lots of initial small steps including setting up this blog, creating a Twitter account and tweeting, creating an account at BitcoinTalk.org and making a few posts (this needs attention, I'm slacking there), and looking at different ways I can build up some a BTC bankroll from little or nothing.

I also created two Bitcoin wallets and a Litecoin paper wallet.  The first Bitcoin wallet will be used as my bankroll to invest and fund new projects while the second one will be treated like a savings account.  I'm not sure what to do with the Litecoin wallet yet, I only made it because I need a place to store the Litecoins generated from the gridseed miners and I'm too lazy to exchange the Litecoins for Bitcoins right now.

So that's where I'm starting and "to da moon" is where I'm going.  :-)

As I try new ideas or hit milestones, they'll be posted to this site and I'll try to keep a chronological list with links to each post below...  Keep checking back.
